Preparing International Training and Advancing AI-Powered Education

At the fourth online meeting of the RELIABLE project, the importance of transferring knowledge and experience from EU partner institutions to partner institutions in the Western Balkans was highlighted.

The participants discussed the training scheduled to take place in September at Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM) in Bielefeld, as well as preparations for the training sessions to be held in December at Universidade de Vigo in Spain and Universidade Técnica do Porto (UTP), formerly Instituto Politécnico do Porto (P.PORTO), in Portugal. Equipment for the AI Laboratory at Banja Luka College has already been procured, and various AI tools are currently being tested. The meeting also addressed dissemination procedures and upcoming promotional activities. Through the RELIABLE project, AI-powered personalized learning systems, solutions for automating academic and administrative processes, and AI laboratories in education will be developed, enabling students and teaching staff to acquire and enhance advanced digital skills. The project is implemented within the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) programme and co-funded by the European Union.

SECOND ONLINE CONSORTIUM MEETING OF THE ERASMUS+ RELIABLE PROJECT HELD: FOCUS ON AI-ENHANCED TEACHING, TEACHER TRAINING, AND THE MODERNIZATION OF HIGHER EDUCATION

The second online meeting of the Erasmus+ RELIABLE Project consortium was successfully held, bringing together project partners to discuss the activities implemented so far and the next steps in advancing the project’s objectives of improving higher education through the application of artificial intelligence and digital technologies.

During the meeting, particular attention was given to preparations for the upcoming teacher training programme in Bielefeld, Germany. Prof. Henning presented the training concept, which will focus on the pedagogical potential of artificial intelligence in higher education through four key AI roles: tutor, coach, feedback provider, and learning companion. The programme will combine theoretical sessions with hands-on activities, including scenario planning, prompt engineering, AI chatbot exploration, and the development of practical teaching scenarios that participants can apply in their own educational environments. Partners also emphasized that no prior knowledge of artificial intelligence will be required for participating teachers, making the training accessible to educators from diverse academic backgrounds while focusing on practical applications in higher education. In addition, representatives of Politécnico do Porto and Universidad de Vigo presented their initial plans for future teacher training activities that will be organized in Porto and Vigo, further strengthening the project’s capacity-building activities and international cooperation. The meeting also highlighted the importance of disseminating project results, sharing good practices among partners, and continuing collaborative efforts aimed at modernizing higher education through innovative AI-driven approaches. The consortium remains committed to supporting educators and institutions in successfully integrating artificial intelligence into teaching and learning processes across Europe.

RELIABLE Project Brings an Educational Revolution: AI Lab Soon to Be Fully Operational at Banja Luka College

Banja Luka College is currently equipping a state-of-the-art AI Lab as part of the Erasmus+ RELIABLE Project. Students are already actively involved in testing AI chatbots, exploring the possibilities of artificial intelligence in education, and gaining hands-on experience with the latest AI tools.

Starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, the fully equipped AI Lab will be put into full operation to support teaching and learning activities. Through practical work in the laboratory, students will develop competencies in applying artificial intelligence across various fields, including business, education, marketing, communications, data analytics, programming, and entrepreneurship, with a particular emphasis on the practical skills demanded by today’s labour market.

Faculty members Boris Damjanović, Nikola Novaković, and Dragan Pejić, together with students, will continue to strengthen their expertise through specialized training programmes, workshops, online courses, and close collaboration with international partners within the RELIABLE Project. Their activities will be focused on the development and testing of AI chatbots, the integration of generative artificial intelligence into teaching and learning, the design of personalized learning models, the creation of innovative digital educational content, and the advancement of digital skills and competencies essential for the future of education and work.

The AI Lab represents a significant step forward in the modernization of the educational process at Banja Luka College, creating an innovative learning environment where students acquire the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary to thrive in the digital age.

International Presentation of RELIABLE Project Research at the Scientific Conference “Accounting and Audit in Theory and Practice”

The Scientific Conference with International Participation “Accounting and Audit in Theory and Practice” was successfully held on 29 May 2026 at Banja Luka College, with the Conference Proceedings published by Besjeda, Banja Luka.

Online Consortium Meeting of the Erasmus+ RELIABLE Project Held: Focus on AI, Digital Transformation, and the Modernization of Higher Education

An online meeting of the Erasmus+ RELIABLE project consortium was held, during which partners discussed the activities implemented so far and the next steps in the realization of the project aimed at improving education through the application of modern AI technologies and digital solutions.

During the meeting, special emphasis was placed on the importance of disseminating project results in order to ensure greater visibility of the project and stronger involvement of the academic, professional, and wider social community. The importance of developing an educational and functional project website was also discussed, as it will serve as a central platform for knowledge sharing, teaching materials, and information related to project activities. One of the key topics was staff mobility and the organization of educational training programs that will enable the transfer of modern knowledge and experience among partner institutions. It was emphasized that these activities will be of particular importance for students and higher education institutions across the Western Balkans through the development of new competencies in artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and modern learning approaches. For the Higher Education Institution “Banja Luka College,” participation in the RELIABLE project represents an important step toward further internationalization and modernization of the teaching process. Through project activities, BLC students will have the opportunity to acquire modern knowledge and practical skills aligned with the needs of the labor market and digital society. The project is especially significant in improving teaching quality, developing innovative learning methods, and strengthening international cooperation, thereby providing students with access to contemporary European practices and new educational opportunities. The consortium confirmed its shared commitment to the successful implementation of the project and the continuation of cooperation aimed at developing a higher-quality and more modern higher education system.
